KK7VLSO QRP ALLRadio is a stock Yaesu FT-817ND. The antennas that I used were phased 20m magnetic loops hung vertically between two 30 foot masts over a ground screen and oriented East/West;phased 40m Inverted Ls; phased 20m verticals; 160m loop. Biggest thrill of the contest was to work Australia and Japan on 40m with 3 watts output.
KK9A/4SO HP 20MMy 50th birthday occurred during the contest, what a great way to celebrate.
KL2RSA LP ALLSome general comments: I spent 95% of the time S&P. I noticed on Saturday and Sunday, starting in the local afternoon, I had to point north to work some folks in W3/W8/W9/W0. Azimuths to US/VE are almost all due east from my QTH. I still do not understand that! There seemed to be a lot of bogus spots with busted calls and incorrect frequencies. If I didn't know better, I would swear some of these were intentional. I worked the Moroccans on 20 Saturday. Saw CN2A spotted on 15 Sunday and thought I would check, and they were loud as the W7s. I worked the other guys, too, a few minutes later. It was well after sunset their time. Hmmm...no EU on 15, though. Some of the bigger W6/W7 stations were 5 kHz wide. I could see that on the band scope. As they were ever-present, a lot of unnecessary QRM. Sorry to miss some of my KL7 and VY1 colleagues, who were well spotted! I didn't even try 160. I went to bed early both nights, as I have been under the weather lately.
KL7AIRMSHGreat contest, we even beat our last years score by a bit! See you in the next one.
KP2DXSA LP ALLNice propagation, bands wide open, Especially 15 meters.
KQ2M/1SO HP 15M15 Was WILD on Saturday but poor on Sunday. Great fun all weekend in my favorite contest! Thanks for the Q's and Mults! 73 Bob KQ2M
KQ4YSO LP ALLGood time!
KX5ASA LP ALLHad a great time! And I earned alot about my new K3, and the interface to N1MM. Had some antenna issues - the yagi array with the C31 and 240N wouldn't turn due to lightning damage to the rotor, and the antennas were pointed to 315. The other C31 is side-mounted fixed to 45 degrees. So I spent alot of time switching VFOs with and without N1MM (sometimes on purpose, sometimes accidentially), and switching antennas via the K3 switch or the RCS8_V. And I even managed to load the old Fritzel OCF dipole on 160 enough for 4 stateside Qs.
KX5RWSO HP ALLWhat a great test! Tnx to everyone who participated!
KY6LASO LP ALLFirst contest in a long time using my dipole rather than the SteppIR MonstIR Beam. As expected the dipole sucked... Real motivation now to reinstall the motors on the MonsitIR and actually be able to make QSO's again. Thanks to all who tried to hear my very poor signal.
KZ1A/4SO HP 40M5X4R and FK8EM calling me late afternoon on 40mtrs? Was I that lucky, or are they qso busters.
KZ5JSO HP 15MSuper conditions here Friday night.

LP1HM2We had a blast during WPX SSB. The participation is increasing and so is the quality of the operations! 73 to all de LP1H.
LU1UMMMWe started this contest to teach the new guys that come into this branch of the hobby, but I had to leave my teaching to having the flu. The rest of my friends did too, because they are not very experienced with the use of software and other accessories. Anyway, very happy, Jose LU2ECP, and Carlos LU6UOL, Dx never done, so far, and were encouraged to do so for the first time.

M0MCVSO LP ALLGlad to take part this year with my new call and extra power. Good to hear 15m open and 40m was its usual self, with wall-to-wall signals.
M0RNRSA HP ALLA token entry this year as our new baby put pay to any length of time on the radio. Some good openings into Asia and Australiasia on Saturday morning. Bands were in pretty good shape in the UK

MW0IDXSO LP ALLCasual S&P when time allowed. Great conditions on 15m during the evening. K3 and SD logger worked well.
MW1MDHSO LP ALLStarted Slow, but picked up again..beat my 2009 total but only just!..Bands packed to the rafters, and a bit of poor operating! Didnt make any contacts on 10, and only a handful on 80! Ran with IC-7400 (100w), Hustler 5-BTV and Heil ProSet
N0MAMSHFirst contest executed with no alcohol consumptiion and set a new high score over 2,000,000. Station worked well.

N1NNSO LP ALL2ND CQ WPX SSB CONTEST
N2FFSA LP ALLSaturday conditions were good but I was not on for long. Sunday was a BIG disappointment. Fifteen never opened to EU and SA was weak. In the afternoon there was a small opening to SA on 10 but stations were weak, weak, weak. Luckily I had not planned to make a major effort. It was a chance to check out a new 8 position remote antenna switch from DX Engineering and a repaired quad after winter storms. Four days of 70 degree weather made that possible. It was also a chance to take a new K3 for a test run at 100 watts without a voice keyer. It was nice to work old friends I will meet at Dayton and to work Sudan, Haiti and a few others.
N3FP/4SA HP ALLGreat conditions with super openings to the Pacific and to Asiatic Russia.
N3UMSO HP ALLMy best claimed score in 8 years doing WPX SSB, every year since 2003. Best before was 1.27M in 2005, vs 1.409M this year. I see three reasons for the great score this year: 1). High bands are better now than at any time since 2005. 2). Many fewer QRO++ broadcasters now 7.1 to 7.2 MHz. 3). During the sunspot drought, out of desperation I improved my antennas, technique, and effort on 80 and 40 meters, and I still have those improvements now plus the sunspots. Even though total QSO points this year were my best ever, my number of QSOs was only 5th best (857 vs the max. 1016 in 2003). Also, I started 3 hours late Friday, because I went to a nice concert with my wife. So, I put in only 24.2 hrs. vs 27.2 hrs in 2006 and 2007, and still got a much better score than in those years. I did well despite fewer hours because the good conditions let me make mostly non-U.S. QSOs instead of having to pile up hundreds of low-calorie 1-point W/K QSOs, as I did in 2009. Only 20% of my QSOs were W/K this year, vs. 54% in 2009 and 38% every year 2006 thru 2008. There was a price: I missed K6, K0, N1, N3(!), N0, W9, and W0 multipliers. But, it was worth it: I still got 18 more prefixes than my previous best, in 2003.
N3XPDSO LP ALLGood Fun! 1st time submitting log
N4LS/7SO LP 80M80m DX is tough.
