KC0DEBSA LP ALLWhat a ride this has been ! Conditions kept suprising me, everytime I expected a band to close someone would pop up. It didn't all go without troubles, the Yagi had some SWR issues that I could not get resolved in time. But the autotuner kept that in check. Somewhere down the line my log skipped a log number, which threw me off. I caught that quick, but not fast enough.. Lost some contacts because of it, sorry if it happens to be you. Also missed a band switch, and lost 2 contacts there as a dupe. I'll write that off as part of the "Contest & Learn " process.... The logging problems will cost me dearly, but all the blame is on me.. I would like to commend all the excellent operators out there who showed great patience while trying to pull my less than 100W signal out of the QRM. THANK YOU ! Conditions are definitly on the rise.... For me it was great to make my 1st 10m contact outside the America's with VK4KW. And a new DXCC contact with ST2AR.(.you my friend sure have sensitive ears , and made my day! ) Let's keep on testing...CUAGN 73 de John
KC2FBVSO LP 20MGave me a chance to test my rig for Field Day. First contest since my Mom passed.
KC6XSO HP ALLGot my best WPX score ever! Definitely improving condx. 20m and 40m phone bands were a zoo most of the time with S-9+ signals and no open frequencies the norm. I only heard the "big gun" European stations on 15m from here on the Left Coast. Too bad it wasn't a stronger opening. 10m has some sustained openings into South America. Maybe next year 10m will really start to shine.
KC8YLDSO LP 20MMy first WPX Contest! Exciting, Educational, Fun, Challenging!
KD3HNSO LP ALLLow power (90 W) into a 20m doublet and a full-wave 160 loop... fun / exhausting weekend!
KD4D/3M2Wow! This contest is a LOT more fun with 15 meters! We had more QSO's on 15 than 40... Congratulations to K1LZ for a phenomenal M/2 score. Thanks as usual to John Evans for letting us join him at the "farm" in. The highlight for me was having 3D2YY call me on 80 and tell me that I was the loudest North American station on 80 at 20 over! The new three-element delta loop wire beam at 140 feet really plays to 3D2! :-)
KD7DCRSA HP 40MWHAT A RIDE... I remember hearing a Russian station give out a number "5050" this year...big difference from last year...more bands are open, finally. I'll be back!
KD8GROSO LP 20MI worked 4 new DX entities!
KD8SQSO HP 20MHad a great time. Been away from contesting for a while, and really enjoyed getting back at it.

KK0ASO LP ALLmost contacts for me during a contest
KK0SDSO LP ALLLot's of Qs! A great year!
KK7OOMMHad a fun time. it's hard to compete against the monster stations, but it was fun, we all got a little better and we can't wait for the next contest. We never really got the rates up where we wanted them. Not a single EU contact on 15 although the band was good for us elsewhere. 10m openings to the superstations in SA, but not a thing else. The QRM on 20 and 40 made it very tough to keep a frequency (or put it to any real use if we were there for a while. Only one antenna malfunction, but it cost us nearly an hour...damn you eBay and your cheap coax adapters...luckily this one was on the ground! Thanks to all the casual stations out there handing out Q's. We worked lots of guys with fewer than 20 contacts and we tried to thank and encourage them when we could...they amounted for a lot of our points on Sunday.
