DUE TO A LAST MINUTE LOG TEST OUR LOG STARTED ON QSO SERIAL NO.2 AND IT WAS TOO LATE TO RESTART THE LOG ON QSO NO.1 THE OPERATOR (WH6R) SENT 001 TO THE FIRST STATION, KE2VB. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO GIVE THE NEXT STATION NO.3 AND SO ON. I HOPE THIS IS OKAY. PLEASE LEAVE THIS AND PRIOR LINES OFF ANY PUBLICATION OF SOAPBOX COMMENTS. THANK YOU TO ALEX, KH6YY FOR LETTING US USE HIS STATION. CONDITIONS WERE POOR EXCEPT FOR A NICE OPENING TO EUROPE ON 20M THE SECOND NIGHT. IT WAS HARD TO PULL OUT CALLS THEN THEIR REPORT FROM THE NOISE MUCH OF TIME ON 40M. STILL, WE DID BETTER THAN WE COULD HAVE HOPED

WQ6XSA HP ALLThis was a last minute Single-OP remote contest run from NX6T. Equipment-wise Station #1 consisted of an Elecraft K3 running into an ACOM 2000a amp to the tune of about 800 watts into a C-31XR tri-bander for the high bands, 2-el on 40 and an 80-m Inverted Vee. WR8AASO HP ALLCar transmission failed on way to cabin so only part-time. Memorable QSOs included VK4KW on 40M dipole S9++ eighty minutes after local sunrise B1Z breaking pile-up during last hour on 20M and 7Z1CQ alone but S9+ on 15M Sunday morning. TNX for the QSOs! 73, Dave K3ZJ
