OI6XSO HP 15MThis became one of those worked all Europe contests. No propagation from OH to JA at all and only few W-stations. Anyhow I am pretty satisfied with my score even though the propagation was lousy from Scandinavia.

OL26LPSO LP ALLUsing the special event call OL26LP was my big mistake. My naive idea of having fun in pile-ups thanks to the unique rare prefix turned into a big disappointment. The problem was the prefix! Most operators copied my callsign as "OL2BLP" instead of OL26LP in about 90% of the QSOs! Imagine that 1000 times out of the 1250 QSOs you have to repeat the call 3 to 15 times and try to correct it. Not always successfully. I appreciate the 10% of great CW OPs who got the call right straight away. This includes DX stations who could copy the call right even if my signal was weak on 80 and 40m. My advice: do not use a two figure prefix ending with number 4 or 6 as this can be copied as V or B. See you next time under a proper call :-)

OV3XSO LP ALLIC-775DSP 100 watts into a TH3MK4 at 11 meters. A Carolina Windom antenna 8-14 meter high. This time in another configuration and it didn't work as good as previous where it was hung at 11 meters and with 10 meter of the long end in a vertical position. Very hard to work US on 80 and 40 meters this time and only heard ONE JA on 40 meter and he was very weak. Condx were very good 3 days up to the contest and then it suddenly stopped. Hard to get 6 points this time and I missed 500.000-600.000 points compared to what I normally make. Really hope condx will improve over the next months so we can have a nice IOTA and CQ WW contests. Hope all of You had fun and a great weekend. 73
