NF0NSO QRP ALLGood conditions for QRP operating. My best ever for QRP in a contest.
NF4ASA HP ALLWas plagued with line noise on all bands and QRN on 80 and 40. Thanks for all the repeats. Great to finally get two digit numbers in the 10 meter column ! 9A, S5, E7, YU seemed to be a 10m hotspot for me Sunday morning.
NF5TSO HP 20MSome day I hope to be able to devote more time to this FB contest. 73, Bob
NG5NGSO LP ALLFirst time using a paddle - apologies to my first contacts! CQWPX was a lot of fun. Many thanks to TDXS and K5EWJ for getting me going.
NG7MSA LP ALLFirst Contest from new QTH after about 7 years! It was fun!
NG7ZSO LP ALLI knew I wasn't going to have much time available for the contest this year. So I made two simple goals. Break 200 q's and get at least one contact on every band. Total time on was 5 hours. Sometimes in two minute increments. I carefully went through my log and saw that there were very small operating increments. Sometimes in the two to ten minute periods. The weather was absolutely perfect here in the NW that I just couldn't justify sitting in front of the radio for hours and hours. We don't get a lot of warm weather here and I had to take advantage of it. We have a large piece of property in the woods and my wife and I like to work in it. So I just made as much time for the radio as time permitted. But in the end, I made both of my goals. Next year, hopefully, it'll rain on WPX-CW weekend hi hi.
NG9T/8SO LP 20MBEST OPENING OVER THE POLE IN A LONG TIME.
NJ1TSO LP ALLStill too quiet on 80-15-and-10. Pretty much a two band contest
NJ9ZSO LP ALLGreat condx this year, but limited propagation to the Far East and Asia.
NN4NSA HP 40MThanks to Scott W4SO for the use of the NN4N callsign. It was a lot of fun!
NN7SSSO QRP ALLYes, no sunspots and QRP from the Pacific North Left. As usual with QRP, CQ-ing was not productive, so almost all contacts were found by search-and-call, call, call ... After the first 3 hours, there was no way I could compete on 40m, so I went to sleep and got up at the more productive 07Z and 11z for low bands. I had a difficult time on 20m each morning, and soon as possible 15m was better for me. I tried 20m each morning for Europeans, but I worked more of them in the afternoons. North America was 73% of my contacts, followed by Europe and Asia. Don't know how I missed so much South America. Some notable DX (for QRP left coast) was 3V9A, 6W1SJ and JT1CO. My 500 QSOs and 260K points would have made 5th place QRP for USA last year - so I'll keep my fingers crossed that I make the top ten this year. Thanks to all the good ears who listened for me and kept trying untill the QSO complete. Much appreciated! NN7SS (op K6UFO)
NN8UUSO LP ALLLots of fun, not much time!
NO2D/0SO QRP ALLNot much time to operate, and not many heard my QRP signal. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the contest, and look forward to doing better next year! NO2D, PETE.
NO5WSO LP ALLThe 2009 WPX-CW found my XYL and me in transit with a flight from Boston to New Orleans on Saturday followed by a drive from New Orleans to Houston on Sunday. We had planned to operate some on Saturday evening from the mobile but the call of a New Orleans seafood dinner won out. So we didn't get on the air until about midway between New Orleans and Houston on Sunday morning when I turned the driving over to the XYL. Once I moved into the passenger seat and got the mobile setup, I managed to break a pileup on an ES9 followed shortly afterward with an OG9 -- this was going to be fun! While in the mobile we mostly did S&P until arriving back in Houston around 2000Z when we put the "big station" (3 wires at 25 ft) on the air and worked the contest until around 2100Z when it was time for a Tex-Mex break. Finally we got back to the contest at around 2230Z. About a third of the contacts were from the mobile -- all of them on 20M which seemed to be in good shape. So it was definitely a part time effort but a lot of fun and interesting to see how the mobile would fare.
NP3CWSO LP ALLAble to do just few contacts. Jullio NP3CW
NP4IW/NK6SO LP 20MI HAD A GREAT TIME IN THIS CONTEST...
NQ2FMSHA great BBQ, plenty of Bud Lights, and oh yeah, a good 10 and 15 meter opening! What could be better? Thanks to "Webmaster Mike" (N2MG) and Scott "The Machine" (NQ2F) for getting us on the board. See you next year! (NQ2F@KD2RD)
NR4MMMMost things that are as much fun as this contest was are illegal! The crew had a great time with one equipment failure. It seems like having the contest on a non-holiday weekend drew out more US and prefixes. I think it would be great if the WPX CW and WWCW were both held on non-holiday weekends. Kudos to K5ZD and the cast that supports the WPX CW!
NR7DXSO HP ALLgood contest...20 the main band and Europe signals most of the day thanks to all for a good time...cw rocks
NS1L/4ChecklogPlease excuse my sloppy log, I missed some #'s that were actually sent by some of the wpx station I worked. I just put in what I thought I copied. I will try harder next time.

NV7ESO LP ALLThis was my first official WPX. It was fun! Operation was from Baker, White Pine County, Nevada. Next time I will have better antennas.
NZ6LSA LP ALLThis is the only contest that I can get a CW pileup on on six-land. Thanks!!!!
OE2VELSA HP ALLNo serious entry, but some points for BCC.
OE5OHOSA HP 20MWe really need some sunspots! Otherwise fun.
OF200ADSO HP 20M10 and 15 were open at least on Sunday and that may explain the low activity during the day on 20. Band faded on and off here and got better just during the last hours. A nice chance to operate the special call of the local Club station. QSL to OH5AD. All contacts will be verified via bureau in any case. Thanks to all for a nice weekend. ICOM 746PRO Drake L4B, 600 w out KT34XA, 2el Quad. 73 de Kari OH5TS
OG6AMSHOur target was set to challenge the old OH record in the M/S category which was 8.8Mpoints. We knew that we had a chance to break it even at the bottom of the solar cycle but needed a bit of help from the propagation. Especially Lady Aurora was the one we didn't want to show up during the contest. The conditions were excellent: 20M was open for the full 48 hours, there were intense ES openings on 15M and 10M and even 15M provided some real DXs. Time to time the pile-ups were comparable to the ones at the solar cycle peak. We also had exceptionally hot weather throughout the contest. The temperature reached +30 C during the day, which isn't very common in Finland. Therefore the contest was also a real temperature stress test for equipment and operators when the temperature was peaking at least +38 C in the ham shack. The equipment passed the test successfully with only one minor malfunction. The operators also survived the test :) Actually the operators didn't get enough heat during the weekend and therefore we all went to the sauna that showed about +90 C just after the contest, which ended in the middle of the night towards Monday at 3 am. We achieved our goal very well - the old OH record was exceeded with a significant margin. Improvement for next time: try to recruit more operators for the M/S team. This time the multiplier radio wasn't manned throughout the contest and operators were not at their best when too tired. Equipment: 2 x Yaesu FT-1000MP + linears 10M - 3 x 4 el mono and 3 x 4 el mono 15M - 2 x 4 el mono and 2 x 4 el mono 20M - 3 x 4 el mono, 3 x 4 el mono and 2 el delta loop 40M - 2 x 2 el mono, 2 el shortened 80M - 2 el shortened + RX antennas 160M - quarter slopers + RX antennas
OG6NSA HP ALLDue to the limited time and an exhausting week of work prior to the contest I was only having some fun without any score pressures. It was a nice surprise to hear good signals from Asia and NA.
