K2GMY/6SO QRP 10M4 watts really hard this year. Very few stations heard. Looks like our friendly 10 meter band is going to sleep until the next solar cycle. Dick - K2GMY
K2LNS/3SO HP ALLJust getting started in low band contesting after spending over fifty years on VHF UHF. Although I can use a keyer with no problem, it was really enjoyable using N1MM. I saw some weak points and need to beef up 40 meters with a beam. Recently ordered a three element from DX. Thank you for letting me enter the world of low band CW contesting
K2YGMSO QRP ALLSurprised condx were reasonably well, even for QRP operation.. 20 meters was the money band for me, and even made a few contacts on 10 meters.. one day I'll start using N1MM instead of paper logging, because after the contest is over, I have lots of typing and converting to do which is a real PITA.. Great operators out there, and some fantastic signals from EU and Africa.. 73/72 K2YGM Bob
K3CCRM2K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. For the 2016 WPX CW available ops were N3UM and W3GB. Both of us had other things going on but together we put in 23 hr. BIC, with two transmitters on in about half of those hours. It was exciting to use our new K3S with P3 band scope in a major contest for the first time: we we quite pleased with it. The other main radio is an Orion 2. To start, S&P on 40 m. was good to EU, so we made lots of 6-point Qs. In contrast 80 m. was poor: only 14 Qs, 2 EU. But 03-04 Z we worked ZL, VK, UA0, and other DX mults on 20 m. Sat. as expected there were a few EUs on 20 m. 12-15 Z but many more 19-21 Z. We tried 15 and 10 m. briefly but made few Qs. After 00 Z Sun. 40 m. was again good to EU, with some runs, and 20 m. had lots of DX mults. We stayed on 20 m. during EDT daytime Sun. and got 87 Qs in 1.7 hr. after 19 Z, mostly EUs. Had to quit early at 21 Z and do other things. Rates slow by then
K3IE/4SA HP ALLWPX is just plain fun. Thanks for the Q's - Hunter KIE
K3MYIMSLWE ARE IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA NOT THE STATE OF MARYLAND. IT IS AN INSULT TO HAVE TO BE CLASSED AS YOU HAVE IT. GET IT RIGHT. IT IS JUST DC
K3NDMSA LP ALLNothing but wire for antennas
K3TW/4SA QRP 20MBand conditions were excellent for QRP!
K4SXTSO LP ALLMy first WPX Contest!!
K5RXSO HP 40MNoisy!
K6CSLSO LP ALLRough, poor propagation
K6JEBSA HP ALLRunning my FT-857D with a 300w amp. Antennas 15 meters, 80m and 40m - vertical with 83 radials, 20m, 15m, and 10m - Yagi up 11 meters. I only had time to dabble in this contest but still had a good time
K6KQVSO LP ALLTnx to all. 73
K6NRSO HP ALLGreat 20m opening into Europe and beyond Friday night, I really enjoyed it. Dana
K7ABVSO HP ALLplayed around, had fun only 10 hours on air.10 was dead//15 came alive sunday afternoon... in all a good time under not so great WWV numbers..tnx to all for the q's
K7EGSA HP ALLWeird conditions. Copied numerous DX stations Q5 unable to copy me. I eventually gave up - No joy
K8LS/5SA HP ALLMuch better score compared to last year. f
K9CCSO HP 40MCut numbers should not be used to send serial numbers!
K9GYSA LP ALLGot to use my new Icom IC-7300 bought at Dayton!
K9HXO/4SO LP ALLOne of the most fun contests. On 20M ops were worked above 14100
K9JWV/7SO QRP 160MAs a dedicated 160 QRP op, I remain disappointed more don't try 160 meters more often during this WPX event. Condx were great here in s/w UT: low band noise, slow QSB, signals were solid copy. Called HK1R 'till blue in the face but no joy. Tnx to those that pulled my peanut whistle out of the mud
K9UIYSO LP 40MDo not think conditions were as good as they have been in past years. I was forced to completely shut down numerous times due to severe thunderstorms on both days. Still it was fun. K9CC and I had a challenge ... his high power and horizontal antennas vs my low power and verticals ... he won, but that kept me pushing. Thanks to all for the QSO's!!
KC0MOSA HP ALLFun test
KC1DLYSA LP ALL42087
KC2LSTSA HP ALLI had limited time to participate this year but as always this was a fun contest. South America had a nice band opening on 10M to Europe, but no Europeans were heard here in NJ on 10. 15M wasn't great either day, but at least it was open. I did manage to work two new countries on 80M and that was exciting. 80 sounded great on Saturday evening with very low noise and I was surprised to hear so few Caribbean stations there. Thanks to all for the fun!
KC2RZZSO QRP ALLSubmitted late. Use for check of stations contacted
KC8R/0SO LP ALLRadio: Flex 6300 Antenna: Alpha Delta DX-EE dipole in attic The antenna in the attic makes it for a challenge, especially when running
KC8SQCSO LP ALLGreat contest, 73!
KC9EESO LP 20MVery little time for this one this year. 73, Gary KC9EE
KD2JCSO LP ALLFirst time in this contest. Have a ball. Thanks to all that worked me. 73
KE0TTSO QRP ALLK3/10 at 5 watts, two broad band dipoles
KE4SSA HP ALLK3/P3, 4L SteppIR, 80M horizontal loop. S&P only. Set my goal for 500 QSOs did slightly better. Need to get better low-band antennas into the air for this contest
