N2BASA LP ALLBegan unassisted but, since I was 95% S&P decided to turn on packet 2/3rds of the way through.
N2JNZSO QRP 40MFirst time using my new Elecraft K1-4 , 5w to a Half G5RV as a sloper up 40 ft , AND my keyboard died before the test so used my Vibroplex 100th Anniversary Bug for the whole test !! Thanks to all who listened carefully !! Best score here yet !!!!
N2WN/4SO LP ALLOnce again into the breach... That was one of the more deviant contests I've been in. Conditions were all over the place, from piss poor to outstanding. Turn the gainall the way up to make a go at a QSO and then literally getting blown from the chair, what fun eh?! It was great to have a decent opening on 10 to EU and then have sporadic opening in the Americas. 15 was nice as well and was surprised to catch ZD8RH way up the band during a sweep. 20 started out rough, could not get anything going, was lucky to string 3 Qs together for a "run". That changed Saturday night with a nice over the pole opening (most of Saturday seemed to be over the pole here) and finally Sunday afternoon I was able to run. 40 was the meat band with the most points and multipliers. YO3FRI gets the "best ears" award for sticking it out during a tough spell. It was nice to catch A73A and A61HZ on 20 with 4Z4DX rounding out the mideast. Didn't have much luck working many of the low power EU folks this time, thanks to all for the effort. Antennas included a inverted delta on 40 top @ 15M, 72' Tee did double duty on 80/160 and the 4 element Steppir handled the high bands. Running the new K3 this time. As always it was nice to work so many "ol' hands" and many newbies, nice contest and great ops!
N3UA/4SO HP 160MWorked from W4DR Station.Would like to thank Bob for letting me enjoy his excellent 160m setup.
N4DXISO LP ALLNice openings into Europe on 20 m in afternnon.
N4NTOSO LP ALLEnjoyed the brief time I got to play. FB CDX!
N6RVSO LP ALLHere is my limited contribution to the contest. Who says you have time when you are retired? They should come over to my house!
N6WGSO QRP ALLDefinitely a bottom of the cycle performance. Score less than half my 2005 score. Had fun, but couldn't put in the full hours, as had to take care of sick family member through the weekend. Was still delighted with a small EU opening on Sunday morning. Saturday morning had nothing going towards EU, so let myself sleep in Sunday morning. Wrong decision :-) If I had been up as early as I could have been, I would have topped 300 QSOs easily. Oh weel, through such things is experience gained. Enjoyed using my new K3 in battle for the first time. still a lot to learn, but it's a keeper. Worked very smoothly with TR-LOG. It is said that any antenna you can keep up is too small. This outing definitely proved that mine are too small :-) Thanks for the Qs, especially to the DX stations that dug in and pulled me through. 73, Bob N6WG The Little Station with Attitude
N7EIESO LP ALLI was out of town Saturday, but still had a great time. CU next year!
N8BJQSO HP ALLNICE TO BE ABLE TO USE ALL THE BANDS. 10M WAS A NICE SURPRISE CONDX VERY GOOD THE 1ST DAY. SECOND DAY WAS A 1 POINTER DAY UNTIL THE LAST FEW HRS WHEN 20 OPENED TO EU NICELY. GOT A LATE START AND QUIT A BIT EARLY TO MOW THE YARD BEFORE THE RAINS COME AGAIN.
N8NA/3SO LP ALLLovely conditions on 40 and 80.
N8WXQ/1SO HP ALLI enjoyed the contest. Nice to hear a few 15M stations. See you next year. 73.
N9AUG/8SO LP ALLWhat a great contest and operators. My first contest with the FT-950 which was a joy to operate. Ran 100 W to either a 10-15-20 trap dipole or a 160 M center fed zepp for 40 and 80
N9BTSO LP ALLSeems I found a way to get the N1MM logger to send the wrong serial number, to W7RN at 1530 on the 24th. On Saturday I could hear east coast stations working DX, but I couldn't hear the DX.
ND3FChecklogchecklog! times are likely incorrect...computer glitch
ND4VSO HP ALLthanks to all for the Q's.
NE1RDSO QRP ALLThis was my first effort in WPX CW and I had a ball. Openings on 15 and 10m made it interesting. My QRP signal and G5RV made it to Hawaii for the first time in years. Perhaps we've finally turned the corner! I really enjoy a contest where everybody can work everybody. I can't wait until next year!
NE4AASO HP ALLThe most fun you can have with no sunspots on.
NE4MSO HP ALLMy best score yet! Ten meters actually had a little life!
NE5DSO HP ALLJust played around for about 10 hours with a vertical and and 20 m. dipole
NF4ASA HP ALLLost 1.5 hours Sunday afternoon due to lightning and had rain static most of Sunday afternoon. Glad to have 3 digit QSOs on 10 meters...even some EU contacts on Sunday morning.
NG7ZSO LP ALLI HAD PLANNED ON DOING A MORE SERIOUS EFFORT THAT WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. AS IT WAS, I ONLY GOT ABOUT 10 HOURS IN. FUN CONTEST IN ANY EVENT.
NJ1TSO LP ALLWOW! . . . very rusty after many years off the air but it's still fun!
NM2L/4SO LP ALLGreat fun and on my birthday too! If I only had time to do the whole contest! I will be back next year for sure.
NO2D/0SO LP ALLMy favorite contest. Copying serial numbers at 40 WPM is getting more difficult each year. Used N1MM logger for the first time and really enjoyed it. Thanks a bunch. Pete, NO2D.
NO6XSO HP ALLRIG: YAESU MARK V, QUADRA AMP PWR: 900 W ANT: Vert 80; Quad Dipole 40; Yagi: 20,15,10
NP3D/W2ChecklogThis was a nice Contest! I was able to work only 21 hours, due to family obligations. I hope that I did not insult anyone, not using NP3D/W2. All databases show that NP3D is in New York for last 5 or 6 years. In any event, I overlooked the Rules. Two years ago I used the same call and had no problems. Sending this Log as a CHECK LOG. Best 73's Andrei NP3D
NQ3XSO LP ALLCondx rather terrible. Still doubled my score from last year and had a great time! C U next year!
NR4MMMThis is the second WPX CW that we've had the pleasure of hosting an op from another country. This year Nodir EY8MM was attending work classes, so he attended Dayton as well as operating the contest with us. As everyone else noted, condx were tremendous for being at the bottom of the cycle. We've got a lot of antenna work to do yet, but what we've done has really paid off. Thanks to Steve, NR4M for hosting us again.
NR7DXSO HP ALLgood weekend as it rained the entire time, good opening to Europe both days from Montana...thanks for the fun time..
NU4ISO LP ALLGreat contest, good conditions! Thanks to all the great operators.
NX2PX/8SO HP ALLmobile 500w
